Averyton is an independent fine art gallery founded on a belief that significant works of art should not remain distant, forgotten, or confined to archives. They should continue to be seen, studied, collected, and lived with.

Our purpose is to rediscover remarkable works from American history, European art, sacred traditions, architecture, mythology, and the natural world, then prepare them with exceptional care for a new generation of collectors.

From historically important paintings to works that have quietly disappeared from public view, every Averyton selection is chosen for its artistic character, cultural meaning, and ability to create a lasting presence within a space.

We bring these works to collectors around the world through carefully restored fine art prints, framed artwork, canvas, and premium wall decor.

Created Through an Architect's Eye

Averyton was founded by Gokhan Oguz, M.Arch., an architect whose professional background is rooted in architecture, interior design, cultural heritage, and restoration.

The gallery grew from the architectural practice and creative experience of Ravis Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Industry and Trade Limited Company.

Architecture teaches us to observe carefully. It develops an understanding of proportion, composition, material, light, texture, history, and the relationship between an artwork and the space surrounding it. These principles shape every part of Averyton, from the works we select to the way they are restored, printed, framed, and presented.

We do not approach art as a decorative afterthought. We approach each work as part of a visual and cultural legacy.

Authentic Art, Carefully Restored

Every historical reproduction at Averyton begins with a genuine work of art.

Our artworks are not artificial interpretations and are not generated to imitate historical artists. We do not use generative artificial intelligence to create or recreate the historical works offered in our collection.

Instead, each selected image undergoes a careful, human directed digital restoration process. Depending on the condition of the source, this may include the considered removal of dust, stains, scratches, discoloration, age related damage, scanning imperfections, and visual distortion. Color, contrast, tonal balance, and fine details are treated individually with respect for the original composition.

Our purpose is never to modernize an artist's vision or invent details that were not present. It is to recover the clarity, atmosphere, depth, and emotional character of the original work while preserving the marks of history that belong to it.

This is digital restoration for faithful fine art reproduction. It is not physical conservation of the original painting or historical object.

A work of art is experienced not only through its image, but also through its material presence.

For this reason, Averyton offers a considered selection of standard and premium fine art papers, naturally textured surfaces, canvas, and framed formats. Each material is selected to support the visual qualities of the artwork rather than compete with them.

Rich pigments, subtle tonal transitions, architectural detail, historic skies, aged surfaces, and expressive brushwork require careful print preparation. Our production process is designed to retain these qualities and create a result that feels refined, substantial, and faithful to the spirit of the original.

Every piece is produced on demand. This allows us to prepare each order individually, reduce unnecessary production, and offer collectors a wider choice of sizes, materials, and presentation styles.

The Story Behind the Averyton Name

The name Averyton is inspired by the Avery legacy in American art and architecture.

Samuel Putnam Avery was a nineteenth century American engraver, art dealer, collector, and one of the founders and lifelong trustees of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. His life was devoted to collecting, supporting artists, and helping make important works of art accessible to a wider public.

His son, Henry Ogden Avery, was a promising New York architect. Following Henry's early death, Samuel Putnam Avery and Mary Ogden Avery established the Avery Architectural and Fine Arts Library at Columbia University in his memory. The library became an internationally respected center for architecture, art history, archaeology, and the preservation of cultural knowledge.

That meeting of art, architecture, collecting, preservation, and public access deeply reflects the values behind our gallery.

Averyton was imagined as a place where those values could continue in a contemporary form. A place where architecture meets fine art, where forgotten images are carefully recovered, and where cultural heritage can enter the homes of collectors across the world.

Averyton is an independent brand and is not affiliated with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Columbia University, the Avery family, or any museum or cultural institution.

Our collection is guided by curiosity rather than passing trends.

We are particularly drawn to American historical art, patriotic imagery, the Hudson River School, sacred and religious works, classical architecture, significant moments in world history, mythology, and the enduring relationship between humanity and nature.

Before a work enters the Averyton collection, we consider its creator, period, visual quality, historical background, surviving source material, and relevance to the story we wish to preserve.

The result is a growing archive of artworks selected not simply to fill a wall, but to give that wall meaning.
